SETH AND JULIANNE BURKHOLDER
Seth and Julianne met each other in small town Ohio, and even though Seth was raised Catholic, that took a bit of a back seat as he focused all his attention on using his skills as a kicker to try and break into the NFL. They eventually ended up in a Presbyterian congregation together, but they began to struggle with the question of how they should approach receiving communion in the various churches they visited. At one point, there was conflict in the Presbyterian church they were part of on major moral questions, and it got them back to the core question of authority. After years of wrestling and discerning together, they became convicted that they both needed to come home to the Catholic Church.

TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH Ep: 09809
God wants His people to be pure, and Jesus and Mary are our perfect examples. People are made to naturally be drawn to what is "good." Many sins of impurity are deceitfully dressed up so that they appear to be "all right". Some people are even saying things like, "Adultery isn't wrong if it is life enriching, premarital sex is okay if the couple are engaged or in love, same sex marriages would show how open and broad minded our society has become." These lies are like wolves in sheep's clothing and they are spiritually lethal.

Suffering is part of our fallen human condition and an effect of original sin. When Christians unite their sufferings with Christ's suffering on the cross we can be happy, have peace and have joy in spite of the suffering. Today, some people try to end suffering by deceptively evil means. Euthanasia literally means "Good Death," but it is not. The only good death one which is obedient to God's will. Any lie that is at the service of such murder takes a part in the malice of that murder and is a mortal sin.
