Assistant Editor

GENERAL SUMMARY: This position assists the post production supervisor, editors, and others in the areas of media acquisition, preparation, organization, deliverables, archive, documentation, etc. This position performs basic editing functions including, but not limited to capturing, importing, file linking, timeline creation, exporting, and encoding. This position operates VTRs, routing, monitoring, computer, and other equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for organizing, transcoding, capturing, importing, and exporting media.

  • Responsible for logging and labeling media, monitoring productions, completing reports, and other assigned duties.

Broadcast TV Engineer

GENERAL SUMMARY: This position involves maintaining television transmission, audio and video equipment, including computers and automation systems. The candidate will be directly responsible for hands-on support as well as performing operational checks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and repair transmitters (TV, Fiber, satellite, etc.), receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, video tape systems, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, monitors and display systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on an assortment of production equipment.
  • Proficient in test equipment including coax/fiber, baseband and related tools for use in installation, maintenance, and repair of media systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Data Hygiene Specialist implements programs, procedures and workflows to maintain the quality and integrity of data in the EWTN fundraising CRM database.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance the CRM database through ongoing cleansing of data helping to ensure entries are free of duplicates, contacts have current and accurate information, and enhance additional key data.
  • Enriches the CRM with data from national sources when approved by management and following established policies and business rules.
  • Updates donor records with changes requested via returned mail, phone calls, emails and letters following established guidelines and business rules.
  • Conducts periodic checks to identify inconsistencies in data formatting and non-compliance with established policies and business results; corrects records that reflect inconsistencies.
  • Conducts periodic checks to identify erroneous and duplicate donor records and merges records when appropriate.
  • Updates dashboards and provide reports on data quality issues.

Donor Care Specialist (PT)

  • Appropriately decides when to escalate complex donor matters to management for resolution.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Email Marketing Coordinator/Manager works closely with the Director of Direct Response to bring together a multi-faceted email effort supporting multiple fundraising campaigns and programs. This person will be responsible for managing all of direct response email campaigns to share the Gospel with people around the globe. Responsibilities include the planning, development, and execution of the long-term direct response goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage an overall email-marketing plan to support direct response goals and programs, developing documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests and ongoing email compliance.
  • Manage multiple email lists and campaigns, segmenting lists based on behaviors like past email engagement, website interactions and content preferences.
  • Design and implement automated email campaigns that trigger off the user’s actions, improving responsiveness to donor and prospect preferences and needs.
  • Nurture and deepen relationships with those who engage with EWTN content via email, ensuring a positive experience (relevant content, timing, design, readability, etc.).
  • Provide clear visibility into campaign effectiveness by presenting weekly reports for each program (including A/B testing) with KPIs.
  • Increase email subscriptions.
  • Optimize the email preference center.
  • Monitor daily email campaign deliverability, ensuring high inbox success rate.
  • Manage email calendar, communicating campaign status and identifying needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in managing an email campaign program at a non-profit organization, or in a similar capacity with emphasis on managing an email campaign, reporting results and ensuring compliance.
  • Proven work experience with email marketing or digital marketing.
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics.
  • An understanding of email deliverability, including anti-spam and GDPR laws (opt-in and privacy laws) and how reputation is impacted by list maintenance, policies and other factors.
  • Ability to create engaging email acquisition and nurture programs.
  • Priority will be given to those familiar with HubSpot or other primary CRM email software platforms.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Fulfillment Center Manager, participates in all areas of order fulfillment including picking, packing & shipping. Fills a supporting role in warehouse operations, maintaining inventory integrity, labeling, shrink wrapping, and quality control.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Picks customer orders according to picklists verifying accuracy using RF device and determines appropriate shipping container for each request.
  • Packs each order once picking is complete, verifying accuracy and quality of product. Provides adequate packaging for each order for safe transit to customer.

  • Participates in final shipping by processing completed packages using Order Management System or third party shipping software according to carrier requirements. Prepares shipments for daily pickup.

  • Supports daily fulfillment operations by making boxes, restocking, repackaging, and labeling product as requested.

  • Assists in end to end fulfillment & shipping of EWTN donor order requests, donation acknowledgements, and outbound network mail.

  • Participates in cycle counting and annual physical inventory counts.

  • Prunes shrubs and trees, rakes bags and removes dead shrubs, fallen leaves, branches and twigs.
  • Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides.
  • Cleans grounds and removes litter.
  • Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
  • Repairs and conducts preventative maintenance on all ground keeping tools and equipment to ensure they are running correctly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates and models EWTN’s values in interactions and behaviors, displaying the highest degree of integrity, confidentiality and instilling trust.
  • Provides policy guidance, interpretation and assistance in implementing all procedures and programs.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, review job descriptions and outline success profiles.  Interviews and screens applicants and provides guidance to managers on interviewing, selection and hiring practices.
  • Interacts with managers and employees on various employment related issues to resolve.  Coaches and guides managers on employee issues to achieve positive outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solicit donations to increase philanthropic support for the mission of EWTN.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pro-Life Weekly

  • Produce discussion segments on national/international pro-life news from a Catholic perspective, including writing news stories for broadcast.
  • Identify pictures and videos that can be included in the broadcast (CNN, AP, MGN, Third Party) and assign video and graphic elements to stories and discussion segments.
  • Line produce the show from Control Room during show taping time.
  • Coordinate with Media Manager and Senior Editor to ensure all video and graphic elements are downloaded and available to be edited for broadcast.
  • Identify and book guests to explain key pro-life issues; network with pro-life influencers and stay up-to-date on pro-life news in order to learn of potential guests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in broadcast or cable TV.
  • Three to five years’ experience in news style editing and promotional material.
  • Experience in Avid Media Composer.
  • Ability to work with producers as well as independently when necessary.
  • Ability to analyze problems and work with engineer to correct in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic Faith and EWTN’s mission.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in broadcasting, film, communications, or equivalent technical training and experience.

LOCATION:        Irondale, AL

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Viewer Services Representative plays an important role in delivering the message and mission of our foundress, Mother Angelica, to our EWTN Family. The Viewer Services Representative provides an attentive, caring and positive experience to our audience through phone calls, e-mail, mail, and prayer offerings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and replies to all correspondence as needed.
  • Answers audience questions via various forms of communication, including telephone, internet and written correspondence. 
  • Responds to questions relative to Friary, Marketing, Production, Programming, Radio, Theology and other areas of the Network as appropriate.
  • Takes prayer requests and handles appropriately and respectfully.
  • Accepts and keys donations from donors via various methods, including but not limited to credit card and/or ACH.
  • Performs data entry of donations and gift requests into computer.
  • Routes incoming calls as needed.
  • Provides excellent service to those contacting EWTN.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience or equivalent training and experience.
  • Practicing Catholic with demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic faith and EWTN’s mission.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Must possess strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Approachable, friendly and helpful demeanor that translates to a positive experience for our EWTN Family.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

PREFFERED:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or GED
