Simple Red Sauce

3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/3 cup white wine
32 oz. can crushed red tomatoes
2 tablespoons basil, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

In a medium heavy sauce pan, add olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add chopped garlic and onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes. Add wine and reduce 2-3 minutes, then add tomatoes and herbs. Simmer until sauce coats the back of a spoon, approx. 8-10 minutes.
