Apple and Cabbage Kraut-Slaw

2 cups red cabbage, shredded
2 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 medium apple, Arkansas Black or Granny Smith, shredded
1 medium sized carrot, shredded
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1½ cups mayonnaise
2 teaspoons dry mustard
Salt and pepper to taste




Combine shredded cabbage, apples and carrots in a large bowl. Heat vinegar, mustard powder and mayonnaise in a sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk together heating until it just about begins to boil. While still hot, pour over the cabbage, apples and carrots. Mix together and season with salt and pepper to taste.
