Take2 - 12/10/2019 - Parenting Roller Coaster
It would have been so helpful if there was a manual given to all parents about what to do with the range of emotions we would be feeling while raising our precious little ones. On any given day or sometimes multiple times in 24 hours, parents may move through a gamut of emotions. Parents can go through periods of complete joy and pride all the way to agonizing episodes of fear and worry. It has been said, that a parent is only as happy as their saddest child. It is purely a roller coaster of emotions to be a parent, but let’s face it, we wouldn’t change a thing. Not even all the gray hairs we have acquired over the years. Parenting is a gift and it can be an exciting roller coaster ride of a lifetime if we view that way. Let’s talk about parenting and more on Tuesday’s Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie.
Take2 - 12/09/2019 - Meaningful Gifts
This will be an interesting discussion on gift giving habits. We are talking today about just how discerning people are when choosing Christmas gifts for others. Many folks put a lot of time and effort into choosing just the right gift for their loved ones. Others may see gift giving as an obligation and put very little thought into it. Still, there may be some that just grab a gift on a whim. Or how about the people that pray before purchasing or making each gift, mainly because they want it to be of God and meaningful for others. Where would you place yourself on the gift giving spectrum? Let’s talk about it and see if we can walk away with a better understanding of giving and receiving during the Christmas season. 1-833-288-3986.
Take2 - 12/06/2019 - Why Are You Still CaI'm Gonna' Get Mine!
Are you still Catholic? Have you had anyone ask you that question recently? So many people have fled the Catholic Church over things like the clergy sex abuse and cover up scandal. Other problems include poor catechesis in many areas, Catholics not living like they should, the constant barrage of attacks on the faith from outside the Church, especially by the mainstream media and liberal social groups. On Friday’s show, call and share with the world what keeps you going as a devout Catholic. Reasons like the Eucharist and the infallible magisterium of the Church are common and pretty obvious. But what is it in the depths of your heart that has you so anchored as a Catholic Christian that you wouldn’t leave no matter what happens or how bad things get? We can’t wait to have this discussion!
Take2 - 12/05/2019 - Faith and Friends I'm Gonna' Get Mine!
Faith Among Friends Be sure to listen and call in on Thursday. Jerry may join the broadcast from the airport before boarding his flight to San Antonio for our latest pilgrimage. So, Debbie, whose flight is a little later, will be discussing “faith among friends.” This topic was suggested by a dear listener (and the facilitator of the “Inspired By Faith” Book Club), Gigi. The thrust of the conversation will be how comfortable you are bringing up, defending or explaining our beautiful faith when you’re among friends. Or, do you refrain from doing so in order to avoid ruffling feathers and possibly losing friends? This is a topic that most all of us can relate to, so let us hear from you on Thursday!
Take2 - 12/04/2019 - Work/Life Balance I'm Gonna' Get Mine!
Unfortunately, it is often the case that work comes ahead of everything in life. Why is that so? Let’s talk about priorities in life and we will see precisely how we view our Christianity. Life can easily get out of balance if we don’t see the signs. Our jobs can become the main obsession while our family, friends and most importantly our faith gets neglected. If you had to reprioritize your life, we want to hear the outcome of such a decision. Call in and share your work/life balance story. 1-833-288-3986.
Take2 - 12/03/2019 - I'm Gonna I'm Gonna' Get Mine!
"I'm Gonna' Get Mine!" When someone does us wrong, or we perceive that we’ve been wronged, a very natural human reaction can be to want to even the score. Of course, we get quite a different bit of advice from Jesus in Scripture. Nevertheless, human history is filled with individuals who attempt to exact their pound of flesh. Have you ever been on one end or the other in such a scenario? As always, we want to talk about this on Tuesday so we can all come out better after the conversation."

Take2 - 11/26/2019 - Food Budget
With Thanksgiving upon us, it’s a good reminder of how very blessed most of us are with full refrigerators and freezers, not only this time of year, but usually year round. It’s also an occasion to reflect and pray about how we make the best possible use of the edible blessings the Lord provides for us. Do you have creative ways of stretching your food dollar, preparing leftovers, shopping frugally, etc.? Let’s all learn again from each other on Tuesday’s show.
Take2 - 11/25/2019 - Still Friends After All These Years
As we make our way through life, friends come and friends go. Some we stay in close touch with. Others, not so much. But every now and then, someone from our past re-enters our life in some manner. With the advances in technology and social media, this has become more and more common. A friend from decades ago may see you pop up in their social media account(s) and want to reconnect. Or it could be as unlikely as bumping into them in the grocery store or on an airplane. Has this happened to you? How much had either of you changed? Were you able to reconnect on more than a superficial level? Call in and let’s talk about this on Monday.

Take2 - 11/21/2019 - Spouse Resenting Your Relationship w/God
Does Your Spouse Resent Your Relationship With God, Part II Once again, you have exhibited your desire for a part two, as the phone lines were full the entire show on Monday. So, on Tuesday we’ll continue our conversation for another day. Here is the show description from Monday: Marriages can be strained by many things. These are often friendships or relationships between one spouse and someone outside the marriage. This could involve a family member, a best friend, a drinking buddy, or, worst of all, an outside romantic interest. But there are times when one spouse is on fire for the faith, while the other spouse is not in the same place spiritually. Unfortunately, this can at times lead to the less devout spouse resenting the time the other spouse spends in Church, at prayer meetings, volunteering at the parish, etc. Have you experienced this in your marriage? If so, let’s have a conversation about on Wednesday, with a view to finding a way to help others avoid similar conflicts.

Take2 - 11/19/2019 - What Life Adjustments Have You Had...?
What Life Adjustments Have You Had to Make? For every one who ever lives, there will be adjustments that will have to be made in the way we live. It could be moving out of the house for the first time, when you get married, the death of a spouse or loved one, finally just the two of you again in an “empty nest,” etc. Some adjustments can be much more difficult and painful than others, which can seem kind of routine. But as you look back over your life, what particular major adjustment(s) can you point out as having been pivotal for you? Let’s talk about this on Tuesday.
