- By the Motu Proprio Humanam progressionem, of 17 August 2016, the competences of the aforementioned Pontifical Council were transferred to the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development;

- By the Motu Proprio Sanctuarium in Ecclesia, of 11 February 2017, certain competences under the aforementioned Article 151 of Pastor Bonus were transferred to the Pontifical Council for Promoting New Evangelization;

- The Apostolic Constitution Praedicate Evangelium, of 19 March 2022, requested a redistribution of the aforementioned competences,

The Holy Father Francis, in the audience granted to the undersigned Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, on the day 7 September 2022, provided for the transfer of the competence for the pastoral care of faithful who undertake journeys for reasons of piety or study or leisure from the same Dicastery to the Section for fundamental questions of evangelization in the world of the Dicastery for Evangelization.

This Rescript will come into effect on 1 October 2022, by publication in L’Osservatore Romano, and then in the Acta Apostolicae Sedis.

From the Vatican, 30 September 2022
