On Monday evening, 26 May 2014, the Holy Father was transferred by helicopter from the helicopter port on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, where he received a farewell from the State of Israel, before his departure for Ciampino Airport in Rome.
