GENERAL SUMMARY: This position involves maintaining television transmission, audio and video equipment, including computers and automation systems. The candidate will be directly responsible for hands-on support as well as performing operational checks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and repair transmitters (TV, Fiber, satellite, etc.), receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, video tape systems, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, monitors and display systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on an assortment of production equipment.
- Proficient in test equipment including coax/fiber, baseband and related tools for use in installation, maintenance, and repair of media systems.
- Compliant with required safety and technical standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in broadcast television or related field.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, interpreting and diagnosing operational/technical equipment problems.
- Must be able to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule outside of normal business hours, including morning, nights and weekends.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

- Performs campus surveillance by vehicle or walking to ensure security and watches for situations that could result in injury or loss due to potentially unsafe conditions.
- Screens all vehicles at the Network entrances and monitors activity at or near assigned post. Maintains a sense of vigilance for undesirable, dangerous, or counterproductive activities or individuals.
- Monitors camera activity, fire protection systems and other devices from a control room and dispatches calls as necessary.
- Relays critical information to other security personnel as necessary.
- Provides accurate and timely written or verbal information/instruction to all vendors, visitors, pilgrims, or anyone conducting business with the Network.
- Reviews and has personal knowledge of the Safety and Security daily postings and instructions.
- Initiates emergency 911 calls as appropriate and directs emergency vehicles to proper location on site.
- Administers First Aid, CPR, basic emergency assistance to employees and guests as needed.
- Completes incident and accident report forms as necessary.
- Transports guests to and from the Birmingham airport.
- Communicates with and assists other Network departments whenever special instructions for guests or visitors are required.
- Directs traffic for special functions and some live show events.
- Participates in department training and drills as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Security/Law enforcement, military, EMS or related field.
- Possess valid Alabama State Driver’s License.
- Possess valid State of Alabama pistol permit or be able to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to qualify with a firearm.
- Possess up to date First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA & NFPA codes and standards.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive items and security issues.
- Attention to the needs of others; must be courteous while also being direct.
- Possess a keen sense of observation of physical surroundings.
- Must be able to work overtime if necessary.
- Physically able to perform the duties, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in one place for long periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work under a command-type structure and follow instructions regardless of the form of communications, e.g., 2-way radio, telephone, voice, etc.
- Must be able to work the required 12 hour day or night shift

SUSTAINER / MONTHLY GIVING PROGRAM MANAGER (Remote Eligible - US only)
OVERVIEW
Works closely with the Director of Direct Response to develop and implement a healthy monthly sustainer program, aka monthly giving program, and to maximize its potential for revenue and file stability. Enhances, manages and coordinates all aspects of the monthly sustainer program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and implement annual and multi-year plans to maximize sustainer donor growth, creating a positive donor experience for ongoing investors in the EWTN mission.
- Align efforts in direct response channels to create a unified sustainer donor campaign, which could include direct mail, email, digital, phone, TV and radio.
- Test new giving channels and payment options.
- Research and identify trends in other monthly giving programs and bring new ideas to the team.
- Optimize under-utilized opportunities in other channels and initiatives (renewal mailings, sustainer recapture, upgrading, digital targeting and re-targeting, paid social media campaigns).
- Work with gift processing and other staff to assess and implement improvements to existing backend processes, procedures and vendors (including credit card and EFT processing).
- Manage multiple sustainer campaigns in market from start to finish, including editing content and working with creative teams as needed.
- Work with the direct response content developer to develop ongoing communications that demonstrate to the donor how her commitment will provide continuous and measurable impact on the mission.
