FRANCIS CARDINAL ARINZE
Francis Arinze is a Nigerian born Cardinal and convert from a traditional African religion. He was baptized at nine, and eventually entered the seminary and studied theology at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome. Ordained in 1958, he became one of the principal advisors to Pope John Paul II. His series, Apostolate for Family Consecration, which he co-hosts, explores a variety of themes based on papal documents, mysteries of the Church, Sacred Scripture and the conciliar documents of Vatican II.
The late Jerry Coniker lives on through his Catholic apostolate, which aims to strengthen family life and make faith come alive for parents and children. He can be seen on EWTN’s Apostolate for Family Consecration, where he and Francis Cardinal Arinze generate a lively discussion of themes based on papal documents, the Scriptures, and mysteries of the Church. Coniker was a man driven to make a difference in the world, and his massive spiritual impact is still being felt today.
