Episode 4: Ribeye with Vineyard Sauce

Ribeye Steak

Ingredients:

Ribeye Steak

1 ribeye steak 6-8 ounces

2 tsp salt and pepper

Directions:

Set oven to 500 degrees.  Bring ribeye to room temperature.  Season both sides with salt and pepper.  Place steak on an oven safe dish with a rack.  Put the steak in the oven and cook for 5 minutes on one side.  Remove the steak and turn over, and cook for another 3-5 minutes, for a medium rare steak.  Remove and allow steak to rest for 3-5 minutes before cutting into strips or serving whole. 

Vineyard Sauce

Ingredients:

10-15 Red seedless grapes pureed

10-15 Red seedless grapes halved

1 Cup of olive oil

1 Tbsp of lemon juice

1 tsp of sugar

1 Tbsp of mustard

1 tsp of salt and pepper

Directions:

Combine the pureed grapes with the olive oil, lemon juice, sugar, mustard and salt and pepper in a bowl to whisk or into a blender.  Whisk or blend until sauce becomes thick.  Pour sauce into a dish with the grapes that have been halved.  Use this sauce with some of the grapes to pour over savory foods like beef, chicken or fish.
