Over 90,000 call on Mexican state to protect human life

Local civil and religious groups delivered a petition signed by over 90,000 people to the State Congress of Zacatecas in Mexico, calling for a constitutional amendment to prevent the legalization of abortion.

Maria Guadalupe Escobar of the association Rights of the Unborn said the petition entitled, "The wonderful gift of life and its human dignity," is supported by 93,670 signatures from the 58 municipalities in the state.
