EWTN Catholic Q&A
Confession
Question from Ed on 10-17-2013:

Just curious about what happens in confession when the priest tells you something is okay when it goes against Catholic doctrine.

Answer by Catholic Answers on 10-17-2013:

Ed--

I have no idea what was confessed, and so I must assume that the priest is more likely to be correct about the morality of the action in question than the penitent. The penitent, unless he is absolutely certain the priest is wrong, should also assume that the priest is correct.
