EWTN Catholic Q&A
Holy days of obligation
Question from K.W. on 09-02-2013:

I am a cradle Catholic and I am trying to recall all of the holy days of obligation. How many holy days of obligation are there?

Answer by Catholic Answers on 09-02-2013:

K.W.--

It depends on where you live. The holy days of obligation observed in the U.S. are:

-- Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (January 1)
-- Ascension Thursday (forty days after Easter; although in many places it is transferred to the nearest Sunday)
-- Assumption of the Blessed Virgin (August 15)
-- All Saints (November 1)
-- Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin (December 8)
-- Christmas (December 25)

If you live outside the U.S., I recommend calling your local diocese to find out the holy days of obligation celebrated in your country.
