Father. Is the following true? JPE2C Mary was a consecrated virgin who had determined to stay a virgin her entire life. But, what future did a young unmarried woman have in those days? She was married to Joseph who knew of her choice and undoubtedly agreed to it. He in essence became her protector, a father figure.

I agree, though I would not state it as "what future did..." but rather, in God's providence, He provided Saint Joseph as her protector and foster father for Jesus.
