Can a person that is married by the catholic church and is divorced recieve the holy comunion?

I know that if you remarry you are committing adultry as per one of the scriptures.

Civil divorce may be justified, in some cases, such as infidelity--especially repeated--or abuse, especially when children are involved. In cases in which divorce is not morally justified, one could repent of this, make a good confession, and go to Communion-- though there may remain the issue of whether reconciliation is possible. Still, canon law does not exclude someone from Communion indefinitely for civil divorce itself, apart from a subsequent attempt to I validly remarry.
