Does the same teaching apply to an aborted or miscarried unborn child? The teaching does mention unborn children but that is in the context of infants in the uterus being conscious which doesn't happen until late in the pregnancy.What about unborn children before then?

The teaching applies to all babies regardless of how they die before being baptized.
