| Terry Fox Run for Cancer research Question from Cynthia on 09-16-2012: |
I know most of your good work is based in the US, but I was hoping
you could help me to decide whether to donate to a charity in
Canada. The Terry Fox Run for Cancer research has been going on for many
years, but this is the first year that I thought to be concerned about
whether they fund any embryonic stem cell research. Do you have
a list of any charities in Canada that conscientious Catholics should
avoid? With regard to this one charity, the only thing I found (and I just
don't know enough about medical research to make an educated
decision) was this article talking about one person who was given a
research grant by the Terry Fox Foundation. http://webapps.cihr-irsc.gc.ca/funding/detail_e?

more information would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Cynthia Here is a listing of Canadian charities that support human
embryonic stem cell research:

a You will note that the TERRY FOX RUN is listed there with a link
reporting that indeed the charity does support human embryonic
stem cell research. Judie Brown www.ewtn.com |
