Adopted by God
Question from SB on 11/5/2013:

I recently saw a sign in front of a Church of Christ that said " We are all adopted children of God". I am a life long Catholic and I have really been learning my faith the last several years. I was asked by a convert if this comment was correct. My reply was that I do not believe that is right, that we are children of God from the moment of conception. Did I mislead this person?

SB

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states

2021 Grace is the help God gives us to respond to our vocation of becoming his adopted sons. It introduces us into the intimacy of the Trinitarian life.
