Confession
Question from Eileen on 9/9/2013:

Can a person talk about his penance experience with other laypeople after he leaves the confessional?

Answer by Catholic Answers on 9/9/2013:

Eileen--

A person can talk about his confession to anyone he wants. Two caveats though: One, it can be unjust to the priest to talk about the priest's behavior in the confessional because the priest cannot defend himself. If you must say something, grant the priest anonymity wherever possible. And, two, a person who talks about his confession outside the confessional to other people should be aware that those people are not thereby bound by the seal of the confessional. They can talk about what that person told them.
