Reception of Communion
Question from Anonymous on 3/15/2013:

My parents will be coming to Mass with me and I am worried that they will go up to receive Communion. My dad is a cradle Catholic turned Protestant and my mom is a Protestant. What should I do if they go up to receive? Should I stop them? Is it a sin for me if I know they will be receiving in an impure manner?

Show them the Communion guidelines that are printed on the inside front covers of many parish missalettes and then leave the matter to their conscience. If they go up to receive after having been shown the guidelines, that decision is then their responsibility.
