Papal Resignation and respect for the end of life
Question from Anonymous on 3/14/2013:

With our celebration at having a new pope, I have just come to terms with my worried feelings about Pope Benedict's resignation. Am I wrong to worry that the world and secular media now has a precedent set that age and increasing health problems mean that one should step down/give up? I would have welcomed his shepherding this flock until the end of his natural life on earth, even if that meant less traveling and public appearances. I pray for our Pope Francis and our Pope Emeritus. Please help me make sense of these events.

Dear Anonymous

Let us not be concerned about the anti Catholic media but thank God that Pope Benedict understood his own situation and humbly chose to step back. God bless him.
