Holy water
Question from Countess on 3/5/2013:

Is it okay to put a little holy water in your coffee when times get tough and you are housebound?

Answer by Catholic Answers on 3/6/2013:

Countess--

While there are some folk customs that allow for drinking holy water, it is not a recognized custom of the Latin rite of the Catholic Church. And it certainly can be said that it should not be mixed into coffee, as if it were of no greater importance than creamer, or treated superstitiously.

If you are having difficult times and are housebound, then call your parish to ask for a priest to visit you for confession and to be placed on the homebound list for Communion.
