philosophy or religion
Question from Annie M on 12/26/2012:

I believe my Catholicism is a religion. Some people have called Christianity as a whole a philosophy. Is Christianity a philosophy or a religion?

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 12/26/2012:

Dear Annie,

Catholicism is definitely a religion. It is the worship of God. It doctrines are know by faith, not reason. But there are elements of faith found in doctrine which also can be known by reason alone, which is philosophy, The existence of the One God the Creator is one of them.

Dr, Geraghty
