Holy Day of Obligation
Question from Jill on 12/13/2012:

What are the ramifications of missing Mass on a holy day of obligation without just reason?

Answer by Catholic Answers on 1/7/2013:

Jill--

The same as they are for deliberately missing Mass on Sunday without just reason. To knowingly and deliberately choose to miss Mass on Sunday or a holy day of obligation without just reason is a mortal sin.
