Pro choice
Question from Kevin on 10/11/2012:

Hi Judy..an old college buddy and I were discussing abortion and pro choice. He said something very interesting..a woman DOES have a right to choose what she will do with her body and health, BUT after she becomes pregnant, the right of the most innocent trumps any future right she has to her own body. I thought that was very insightful.

Answer by Judie Brown on 10/12/2012:

Dear Kevin,

When a woman becomes pregnant, we are now talking about two separate individuals -- the mother and her preborn baby -- and the mother has a moral obligation to do all she can to preserve and nurture the life of her baby.

Judie Brown
