Whose definition is traditional marriage? doesn't the concept of marriage differ from culture to culture? Not everyone is catholic, so why should atheist support traditional marriage? |

Dear Mary, You've put your finger on it! Who defines marriage? God defines it. Not man or the federal or state government, not any tribe or kingdom or empire of men. While there have been deviations from culture to culture (even Abraham had two wives) the standard is the standard for human beings. Remove the notion of God, however, and each nation or culture is free to define marriage in anyway they wish. That is what is happening today. Dr. Geraghty |
