jesuit Nuns?
Question from michael hopper on 7/14/2005:

I know there are Franciscan, Dominician, and Benidectian nuns, are there Jesuit sisters as well? If not why?

Answer by Rev. Mark J. Gantley, JCL on 7/15/2005:

Each religious institute is unique. Some include priests, some do not. Some have divisions for men and women, some for just men or just women. Some include only brothers or only sisters. Some include only priests with no laity. The Jesuits are an example of an order composed primarily of priests.
