Status of Fr. Nicholas Gruner
Question from Bernard Tiffany on 10/1/2001:

I certainly agree with Justin Tyme especially on the First Saturdays. He probably refers to a Salesian priest, Fr. Jose dos Santos Valinho. I have met his late mother Maria dos Anjos, Sister Lucy's sister. As a relative to Sister Lucy, he has a privilege to meet Sister Lucy. On July 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima made two specific requests: the consecration of Russia (which was done on March 25, 1984) and the Communion of Reparation on First Saturdays (see the second part of the Fatima Secret).

By the way, here is the status of Fr. Nicholas Gruner:

"Congregation for the Clergy

The Holy See has been informed of a Conference for Peace in the World to be held in Rome from 7-13 October 2001 organized by the Rev. Nicholas Gruner.

The Congregation of the Clergy, by mandate of Higher Authority, wishes to inform the faithful that the Rev. Nicholas Gruner has received the censure of suspension a divinis and that the censure was confirmed by a definitive sentence of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature.

As a consequence, the activities of Rev. Nicholas Gruner, including the Conference for Peace in the World, do not have the approval of legitimate ecclesiastical Authority.

Vatican City, 12 September 2001

DARIO Cardinal CASTRILLON HOYOS, Prefect CSABA TERNYAK, Secretary"

This is published on page 2 of L'Osservatore Romano, English edition, N. 38 - 19 September 2001.

Unlike Fr. Nicholas Gruner, Sister Lucy is obedient to the Holy See.

Pax et Bonum

Answer by Dr. William Carroll on 10/1/2001:

You are correct. See the Frequently Asked Questions for Dr. Colin Donovan's excellent explanation of the status of the now schismatic Father Gruner. - Dr. Carroll
