Clergy's responsibility in upholding and promoting Catholic teachings
Question from TruthBTold on 5/10/2013:

Boston College president Rev. Leahy invited Prime Minister Enda Kenny S.J. To not only be the commencement speaker, but to award him with a honorary law degree! Really, and Boston College calls itself a Catholic university...in name only. How much more scandal does the church need to suffer. Why won't Archbishops Dolan or O'Malley speak out against Rev. Leahy and Boston College on their stance to honor and support a clearly pro-abortion advocate, Irish Prime Minister Kenny?

If the Bishops remain silent towards Boston College and Fr. Leahy on the issue set forth for political reasons , then the allegiances of these Bishops become suspect in the eyes of many in the church.

The Bishops have NOT remained silent on this. In fact Cardinal O'Malley made an extremely strong statement on this matter and is not attending the event. You can read his entire statement: http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/cardinal-omalley-to-boycott-boston-college- commencement-over-honoring-of-pr
