Crucifixion and Burial site of Christ
Question from Dave Metzger on 11/11/2012:

If I was to visit Jerusalem nowdays, where would I find the true site of the Golgotha hill and the True Tomb of Christ? Ive heard there are several sites there competing for being the true site. Thank you. My Baptist cousin says the site is Gordons Calvary and the adjoining Garden Tomb. But is it?

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 11/11/2012:

Dear David,

I wouldn't know. I would go along with the tradition of the Church as far as the sacred sites are concerned. The deeper question is whether Christ was crucified for our sins and rose from the dead. The Church teaches that he has. Isn't that the main point of concern?

Dr. Geraghty
