Doctors
Question from Anonymous on 1/9/2014:

Are doctors a part of faith in believing for physical healing? Jesus talks about faith and prayer in believing for healing. Where do doctors fit in?

Thank you.

Sandra

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 1/21/2014:

Dear Sandra,

Christ did not do away with doctors. They are the ordinary way we are saved from sickness. But being only human beings, they do not always succeed. Christ takes this fact of the human condition to show that God is infinitely good and powerful by healing some people in a miraculous way. The point that we are to focus on is not that some people were healed. After all, everybody dies sooner or later. The point is that God loves us in whatever physical condition we are.
