Question from Vanessa on 8/20/2012:

Hi, I was wondering how Catholic's view on donating your body "after passing" to science care?

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 9/5/2012:

Dear Vanessa,

Sometimes organs may be donated right after death. But the preference is that the body be at the funeral service. After that the body can go to science or be cremated.

Dr. Geraghty
