Junior League
Question from Concerned mom on 10/20/2009:

A friend of mine has invited my daughter to American Girl (Doll Company) fashion show with the proceeds to benefit "The Junior League of --- "(the big city near me--for anonniminty to remain blank). The Junior League targets adolescent girls but on a quick search of their site I am not sure what they do. Do you or anyone else know anything good, bad or ugly about them? I am extremely suspicious and would never want a penny--nor my daughter's presence supporting anything questionable. In the past, American Girl has supported, and possibly still does, Girls, Inc. which has been responsible for promoting abortion among young girls. This past history makes me even more cautious. Please help!!! (And soon if possible as I need to give my friend an answer.) Thank you for all your work and may the Lord continue to bless your ministry.

Answer by Judie Brown on 10/21/2009:

Dear Concerned

I am not familiar with any questionable activities as far as the Junior League is concerned, but if one of our Forum visitors is, I will post the response.

God bless you.
