Jerusalem bible
Question from anon on 6/22/2012:

Do you recommend the Jerusalem Bible that Mother Angelica uses?

Answer by Fr. John Echert on 7/5/2012:

Years ago I was a fan of the original Jerusalem Bible, influenced in part by the fact that I studied at the Ecole Biblique in Jerusalme, which produced this version, in large part. It was also the standard study edition I used in my college studies. I was NEVER a fan of the revised edition of the Jerusalem Bible, which went to "inclusive" language. That having been said, I now recommend the RSV-CE (Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition), which is the best among the modern English versions. There is an excellent study edition of the New Testament available, with notes by Scott Hahn and others, as a single volume or individual books.
