Advice in confession
Question from Maureen on 10/3/2009:

Are we obligated to follow advice we've been given in confession? I have received a lot of different advice about many different things and I have not listened to it. Is this a sin? Do I need to go back and follow advice I have been given after confessing?

Answer by Catholic Answers on 10/6/2009:

Maureen--

It is good to follow advice given in confession, but, unless it has been given to you as a penance, you are not required to follow it.
