Holy day of obligation
Question from Anon on 10/6/2009:

This year All Saints Day, which is a holy day of obligation, falls on a Sunday -- which is also a holy day of obligation. Since the liturgies are different for each day of obligation do we have to attend two Masses on that day? One for All Saints Day and one for Sunday? Thank you for your response.

Answer by Catholic Answers on 10/6/2009:

Anon--

This year, since All Saints is a solemnity that falls on Sunday, the readings for Sunday will be those for All Saints Day. In the U.S., the Sunday/holy day obligation will be fulfilled with the Sunday Mass (source).
