Communion
Question from Ignacio on 7/10/2012:

Is it better to receive Communion by hand or by knees?

Answer by Catholic Answers on 7/11/2012:

Ignacio--

I think you meant to ask whether someone should receive Communion in the hand while standing or on the tongue while kneeling. If that is the case, then it is preferable to receive according to the permissible norm practiced at the particular liturgy you are attending. At a liturgy according to the ordinary form of the Roman rite, that would be either in the hand or on the tongue while standing. In the extraordinary form, that would be on the tongue while kneeling.
