Dear EWTN
My sister, who after finding out her sister-in-law is a wicka, and taking this very seriously, started reading St. Faustinas diary for some guidance. My sister, who is very "innocent and sensitive" now claims to be having dreams and visions of Jesus, our Blessed Mother, various dreams of people who have died, etc. The troubling side to this for me is some of these are linked to information that our Lord is giving to her about satans, power in the world, and allowing him to manifest himself in various ways. Some physical, with her husband as witness, but most interior that cause her to have to "be care full what she does" as she describes it. She claims, she can no longer read books on the saints, etc, without manifestations. My sister is in her late 40's and has never gone to church regularly, but has always had a strong faith. Do you think this could be authentic. I really need your advice on what to do, as my wife and I are her only outlet in this matter. Obviously I can't tell you everything here for lack of space. What should we do to help her? God bless you. P. Arsenault

Dear P. Arseneau, I do not know much about those things. Ask a priest, who would probably be more of a help. All you can do is say your prayers and hold onto your common sense. Dr. Geraghty |
