QUESTION
Question from lynn on 9/13/2009:

My son & daughter-in-law live across the street from a woman who works as an 'exotic' dancer at a local gentlemen's club. This woman has 2 kids about the same age as my son's (my grandchildren) 2 kids (10 & 8). The woman is not married. This woman also has an elder rich "sugardaddy" who provides for her (house, vehicle, etc.) Lately, my son & daughter-in-law have become very friendly with this couple, as far as visitations at my son's house, or at the rich home of this elder man. I believe this 'friendship' is not healthy, at least from my grandkids perspective, since the woman & elder man are not married, and sometimes co-habit tgether. I believe this is very scandalous to my grandkids. I am not judging the man & woman's souls, but their lifestyle. Is there a scriptural passage I can use to convince my son to make him see the folly of this relationship.

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 10/28/2009:

Dear Lyn,

You certainly have a problem there with the parents of your grandchild acting this way. What else can you do but pray about it? Any suggestions out there? Things like this often happen to grandparents.

Dr. Geraghty
