Dear Dr. Richard Geraghty, I just turned 21 not too long ago and after spending a few semesters in junior college, I have noticed that the theory of evolution is pushed heavily and is presented as a fact. And those who question or refute it are seen as being "stupid". Not just in academic but in the mass media such as television, books, and the internet. Almost on a daily basis the mass media tries to convey evolution. And I have noticed that nine times out of ten, whoever is trying to convey the theory of evolution s/he will often use insinuating words to convince people that a supernatural caring Intelligent Designer had no part in the formation of life and that everything in life is random. And now there are several books out by staunch anthropologists/evolutionists who deny the existence of God.
Did God really use evolution to bring plants, animals, the world, and humans into existence? Did human beings actually come from apes 2 million years ago? Did the universe really form by some Big Bang? If He did, then how come the vast majority of anthropologists and evolutionists are convinced there is no Creator? If the Genesis account is correct and he did create man like he is today why is that now largely thrown out the window?
Is this part of the sign of the Last of Days and the end of the world and loss of faith in God?
Why are so many people so dense that they actually think the world is "getting better"?
I also have a couple of other questions.
A lot of people today argue that same-sex intimacy is just the same as a man-woman intimacy. If this is the case, how come same-sex people do not have compatible parts for love making? How come God didn't give same-sex couples the gift of child-bearing?
My last question - Artificial reproduction techniques are becoming increasingly popular. Many single women are purchasing sperm by a "donor" and many lesbian couples and couples where the man is infertile are doing the same thing. How does God view the fact of an anonymous man's sperm going inside of a woman that is not his wife? Or a child that is a genetic product of two people that didn't even know each other? And women who carry a baby for another woman then give it up after birth?
I personally think that the only method of reproduction should be a man and woman who love each other having relations and the sperm and egg join naturally. I really don't think God intended for it any other way. sorry for so many questions - more than ever this world is complicated, God Bless,
Blaine |

Dear Blaine, Yes, it is a great mystery why men created by God can reach such a stage where many of them are absolutely intent on denying the existence of God and any traditional morality. It is enough to make your head swim. But that is nothing new. Witness the rebellion of the angels in heaven, creatures much more intelligent than man. Witness the disobedience of Adam and Eve, much more intelligent than we will ever be. There is a war going on between God and Satan, one that has always gone on from the beginning and will continue to go on till the end of the world. Did not Christ call Satan the Father of Lies?
