offer it up
Question from Connie on 4/30/2012:

When we suffer we should offer it to God. How do we do that? Do we have to say something to God everytime suffering comes? What do we say?

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 7/15/2012:

Dear Connie,

Christ offered up his sufferings on the cross to the Father so that men might be saved from the suffering due to their sins. Although Christ was sinless, he did suffer unjustly. We suffer both justly and unjustly. We offer up those sufferings so that the Father will enable to help us improve things all around. He did that when Christ suffered. He will do that when we suffer and offer it up.

Dr. Geraghty
