Baptism
Question from Jay on 8/8/2012:

Hello Judie, If my question is outside your area of expertise then feel free to ignore my question. But since the question of baptism may come up frequently in pro-life discussions you may know this answer. My question is simply this: Has the ordinary and universal magesterium ever proposed for our belief as "divinely revealed" - as per the definition of Vatican I - that it is possible to attain salvation by any baptism(i.e. desire, blood) other than Sacramental Baptism.

Thanks for listening.

I recommend you read the article on the magisterium of the Catholic Church which is at this link: http://www.catholicessentials.net/magisterium.htm

I would also recommend reviewing the Catechism on the matter: http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc.htm
