are there any exceptions to using artificial hydration?
Question from wondering on 6/24/2012:

Is there ever a situation where artificial hydration can make a dying person's condition worse?

Answer by Judie Brown on 6/25/2012:

Dear Wondering

When the provision of artificial hydration causes immense discomfort to the patient or is viewed as being the source of additional suffering or the hydration itself is rejected by the body, it should no longer be used.
