Planned Parenthood
Question from Teresa on 6/6/2012:

Some things about PP are bothering me:

How does PP justify their saying that only 3% of their funding is spent on abortion? (Of course, any is too much)

Do they count the abortion pills as abortions? It seems that they have clinics in a large area where one does abortions and the rest hand out pills.

Lastly, what is the death rate for mothers from an abortion not counting the pills (yes, these have a death rate too). The current death rate from birth is less than 5%. Do we have a good feel for this since several states including California don't report their statistics?

The numbers Planned Parenthood publicizes are not accurate as Stop Planned Parenthood studies have shown. You can read the accurate statistics at the www.stopp.org website.

Remember, when an organization will kill babies, they will do nearly anything to deceive.

Any statistic on the deleterious side effects of abortion or contraception are skewed because, as you point out, reporting requirements are not uniform, and abortion is an industry that requires fudging the numbers, which occurs all the time.
