Supreme Court
Question from SteveB on 6/28/2012:

Judi, I am totally agasp about the supreme court siding with the administration. It seems now our only hope is that the White House administration changes with the next election. What does this mean now for the law suits filed by the various Catholic groups? Do you think if the church's hand is forced that bishops will start to close various healthcare institutions? If bishops do not act in actions other than words, then we can only see yet another era of persecution of the church and faithfull Catholics. I can't believe the complacent attitudes of Catholics. As with the rest of the country, many of them are more concerned with their personal comfort and their money. I see this decision of the court as a very sad day in the U.S. and fear more is yet to come. Do these politicians realize they may have answer for this at any time?

Answer by Judie Brown on 7/3/2012:

Steve

The law suits that have been filed against the Obama mandate on contraception continue as do the 26 states challenging in court the constitutionality of Obama care. Many are retooling their lawsuits to refile.

The simplest response though is for Congress to repeal it.

Judie Brown
