Divorced catechumen receiving Eucharist
Question from Diana on 08-07-2015:
If a catechumen is divorced, can she receive Communion? Does it make a difference if she is remarried or not remarried?
Answer by Catholic Answers on 08-14-2015:
Diana--

A catechumen, by definition, is an unbaptized person awaiting baptism. Since baptism is the gateway to the other sacraments, whether or not this person is married is irrelevant. If she is unbaptized, she should not be receiving Communion until she is first baptized.
