Fasting and Communion
Question from Anonymous on 10-08-2014:
Does brushing one's teeth and using mouth wash, both of which leave a taste in the mouth, within one hour before receiving Communion break the one hour fast requirement?

Toothpaste and mouth wash are not food and drink. But if you did not want to leave the taste of them in your mouth, under most circumstances you can rinse afterward with water (which does not break the pre-Communion fast).
