Precious blood
Question from Mary on 07-19-2014:
Recently our parish priest no longer offers the wine during Communion at our daily Masses. Why?
Answer by Catholic Answers on 07-24-2014:
Mary--

Perhaps you should ask the priest why, and suggest that an explanation be offered in the parish bulletin. However, I can say that it is not required for the precious blood to be offered to the congregation during Communion, and it may well be a prudent measure for increasing understanding of what Communion is if the congregants are in the habit of referring to the blood of Christ as "the wine."
