OJ Simpson
Question from lroy on 02-15-2014:

I know there are many people who think he really did commit the murders and should already be dead (or on death row).

If a person is already condemned, and there is no way out of it at that point (no more appeals), should the person have that option?

Nobody has the right to take his own life or ask someone else to do it for him. As Wesley Smith states in the article you shared:

"a truly compassionate society doesn’t accede to suicidal desires of our brothers and sisters. We try to help them past the darkness–whether caused by illness, grief, tired of living, or imprisonment."
