Catholic College Pushing a Female Diety
Question from bill on 8/7/2018:

Dear Judie,

This is not directly pro-life but no other forum was open.

The following article just appeared on the Internet. It is written by David Wheeler-Reed, a visiting professor at Albertus Magnus College's (Connecticut) Religion Department. He identifies himself as "a scholar of Christian origins and gender theory." The article is just plain outrageous.

It makes the statement "Indeed, early Christian writings and texts, all refer to God in feminine terms."

It takes Jesus's phrase "as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings" to try to "prove" that God is part female.

Today, I noticed that on the official home page of Albertus Magnus College under "News" it gives a link to this article. They are proud of it!!!

We are living in an age of moral relativism that is, at its core, committed to being politically correct even in the truth of the natural law has to be tossed aside. David Wheeler-Reed is featured in the left-wing National Catholic Reporter spewing the same sort of rot: https://www.ncronline.org/news/theology/ncr-today/what-early-church- thought-about-gods- gender

Reed has been arguing in the same vane for many years and has even written a book about it. This is another sign of decay in Catholic education.
